Bread for the Day of the Dead

1.- Dissolve the baking powder in 4 tablespoons of warm water. Add ½ cup flour and make a small ball of soft dough. Set aside for 15 minutes in a warm place until it doubles in size.

2.- Sift the flour, salt and sugar; make a hole in the center and add 5 eggs, 5 yolks, margarine, orange peel. Knead well.

3.- Add the small ball of dough. Knead again and set aside in a warm place for 1 hour. The dough should again double in size.

4.- Knead the dough again. Shape up the breads to a desired size and place them on a greased cookie sheet. Set aside some dough to use in step 6.

5.- Beat the 2 eggs that will be used for glazing.

6.- Shape remaining dough into bones and tears and stick them to the bread with the beaten eggs. Glaze the bread and sprinkle with sugar.

7.- Stick the breads in the preheated oven at an medium temperature for 30 to 40 minutes. Take out and cool.
